Y-Knot at Chowder Cup Regatta
Memorial Day weekend saw the first sunny weather upstate New York had experienced for what seemed like several weeks. So plenty of spectators were on hand to watch the Sagamore Hotel's annual Chowder Cup regatta. Several sailors competed in the Martin16 fleet: Y-Knot veterans Steve Mintz and Rebecca Stanley, Curt Leatherbee, who heads the racing program at Shake-A-Leg in Newport, and newcomers Dylan Walrath and Teresa Carroll. Light, shifty winds made for several lead changes and a close finish. Race results are posted at www.lake-george.com
