2004 year-end financials were handed out with the designated funds totaling
$10,524.00. 2005 Proposed Budget was also handed out. Pledges will go
into the designated fund not the operating fund. Spencer is compiling
a spreadsheet for the proposed use of the designated fund that includes
the pledges totaling $13,374.00. Volunteers will be required to pay $5.00
for lunch at clinics. It costs Y-Knot $15.00 per person per clinic. At

for boat maintenance. Rebecca Stanley motioned to accept the budget and

Committee Reports
Program Report: Maryellen Rudolph, Committee Chair
Any database additions need to be sent to Rex Moon. Mike Peluso gave
a disk with a list of archive contacts to Rex Moon. George Painter
will help categorize previous donators. The Y-Knot Official Data Base
was summarized. Rex Moon will monitor the database. Any potential volunteers
information needs to also be forward to Rex Moon. The question was
raised to determine what our capacity is for Sailors and Volunteers.
Becky Bonn will contact the Queensbury School District and Recreation
Department to see if we can insert an announcement in a newsletter
in hopes of getting new sailors and volunteers for the program. Volunteer
Training Day is May 15th, a manual will be provided. Steve Rockwell
will call Don Miller, last years Volunteer of the Year, to see if he
will be attending the Volunteer Training Day so that Y-Knot can present
him with a gift.
Fundraising Report: Mike Peluso, Committee Chair
A lot of leads have been provided and the labels are ready and a lot of
the letters are ready to go. The committee needs to schedule another
meeting. Steve Rockwell volunteered to help stuff envelopes. Niagara
Bank will entertain helping Y-Knot. George Painter reported that the
Standish Grant for the proposed dock is on hold at the moment due to
the DEC. Eva Galvin, George Painter and Herm Lintner presented to the
Schenectady Rotary and were well received. Y-Knot will apply for $1000
to go towards the dock. Lake George Rotary committed to giving Y-Knot
a share of the bike raffle money raised at Americade this year, the amount
depends on ticket sales. George Painter received the letter and needs
to apply by April 18, 2005. Mike Peluso will follow up to find out places
and times for Y-Knot volunteers to help sell raffle tickets for the Americade;
June 6 - 11th. Great job on Y-Knot's first efforts at a Billiards Pool
Party held in February. May 29th will be the 2nd Annual Chowder Fest.
Rebecca Stanley plans to contact Adam DeSantis about presenting a sub
fleet of Martin 16s for the ChowderFest Regatta.
Membership Report: Rebecca Stanley, Committee Chair
Rex Moon will email a word document to the Board with the business card
information. Spencer Raggio will make up some generic business cards
as well. Flyers will be made up by the next scheduled board meeting,
May 4th, please contact Rebecca Stanley to request the number of flyers
desired. George Painter says that all the documentation needs to show
YMCA Camp Chingachook. In light of that fact, Rex Moon will send a revised
email showing the corrected change for the business card word document.
The FAQ's email sent out received great responses and the Rebecca will
tabulate and the results will be posted on the website. The home page
of the website will be kept up to date with current news and events.
Rebecca Stanley received a tentative commitment from Warriors on Wheels
to visit a weight-training event held in Colonie to introduce them to
Y-Knot. Rebecca Stanley will be developing a press release package. It
was suggested that we designate at least one clinic to cater to key contacts
from target places to show them what Y-Knot is all about.
